EasyBudget is built on a simple idea: your financial data is yours. This policy explains exactly what happens to your data — which, for almost everything, is "it stays on your phone.".
EasyBudget is operated by Sayif Rasheed, London, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the limited data described below. Contact: [[email protected]].
When you add a CSV or PDF statement, EasyBudget reads and analyses it locally on your phone. Your transactions, categories, tags, income, assets, and plans are stored only in the app's local storage on your device. We cannot see them, and they are not transmitted to us or anyone else. Deleting the app, or using "Forget everything saved," permanently removes this data from your device.
If you turn on "Help improve EasyBudget," we collect anonymised product events — for example, "a statement was uploaded," "a savings goal was set," or "a subscription check-in was completed." These events describe how the app is used. They never include your transactions, merchant names, amounts, account details, or statement contents. We use this to understand which features matter and to improve the product. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings.
You may optionally add an email address to receive your monthly budget recap and service messages about your account. We use it for those purposes. If you separately opt in to hear about new products (including features we may build with partners), we will use it for that too — that opt-in is its own choice and never required. Lawful basis: consent and legitimate interest in operating the service you asked for.
We are building EasyBudget toward working with partners, including financial institutions. As part of that, we may share aggregated, non-identifying insights (for example, "X% of users set a savings goal this quarter") with partners or prospective partners. We do not sell your personal data, and your statement data cannot be part of any such sharing — it never reaches us in the first place.
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple and processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status; it processes a pseudonymous app-user identifier and purchase receipt data on our behalf.
